Best NBA prop bets today for Raptors vs. Wizards (Home sweet home for Beal)

The Toronto Raptors and Washington Wizards are both just hanging around in the Eastern Conference. Both teams are in the mix for the play-in tournament and Toronto is just one-game ahead of Washington. The Raptors have been hot out of the all-star break and since they added Jakob Poeltl. The Wizards didn’t add and are 1-2 out of the break, but they could be getting Kristaps Porzingis back after missing their last two games with a knee injury.

This game could be big in the Eastern Conference playoff picture and it could be big for bettors if we hit on some prop bets. Here are my three favorites for Raptors/Wizards in DC.

Bradley Beal hasn’t forced his way out of Washington yet, though many have expected a trade demand and it might be because he loves shooting in Capital One Arena. This year, he’s shooting 32% from three in road games and 43% at home. That’s a massive split and he averages 2.1 threes in home games compared to 1.4 on the road because of it. Also this matchup is good because Toronto allows their opponents to shoot 37.4% from three which is 27th in the NBA.

Jakob Poeltl over 1.5 blocks (+160)

The Raptors tried to play positionless basketball with all long rangy wings on the court, but sometimes it’s nice to have a true rim protector and traditional center. Poeltl has filled that role since coming over and has bolstered Toronto’s defense while averaging 2.0 blocks a game.

Pascal Siakam over 23.5 points (-110)

Poeltl coming to Toronto has also made Pascal Siakam’s life easier as he gets to return to power forward instead of center. He’s getting more favorable matchups and less defensive responsibility. In the seven games with Poeltl, Siakam is averaging 27.0 points per game, up from 25.2.
