Best NBA prop bets today for Pelicans vs. Clippers (Target James Harden, Ivica Zubac)

Arguably the best matchup on the night in the NBA takes place in Los Angeles as the now No.1-seeded Los Angeles Clippers host another playoff-caliber team in the No. 7-seeded New Orleans Pelicans.

New Orleans enters this game on a three-game winning streak, but these teams have split this season's series with double-digit wins for both sides.

I’m going to stay away from a side on Wednesday night and instead focus on the prop market, especially guard James Harden, who has been passing the ball at a high level as of late.

Let’s break down some of the top props for Wednesday’s Clippers-Pelicans clash:

Ivica Zubac OVER 6.5 rebounds

I’m going to buy low on Ivica Zubac in what should be his second game back from an injury after he sat out the team’s win over Atlanta on Monday.

Zubac had just three rebounds in the team’s win over Miami, but he’s averaging 9.6 boards per game on the season. We can point to his minutes (just 18:20 against Miami) as a reason for the lower prop line and production, but let’s not forget that he grabbed 11 rebounds in 21 minutes in his last game before injuring his calf.

There are just five games this season where the Clippers big man has grabbed fewer than seven rebounds. If he can get back to 20+ minutes on Wednesday, he’s going to have a real shot to clear this prop.

Zion Williamson OVER 20.5 points

Zion Williamson played less than 22 minutes in the Pelicans’ blowout win over the New Orleans Pelicans in his last game, scoring 16 points on 5-of-8 shooting.

I expect him to see more minutes tonight in what should be a closer game, and he’s cleared 20.5 points in 24 of his 40 games this season.

In the win over the Clippers this season, Zion had 32 points on 25 shots, but he was held to just 12 points on nine shots in the loss. A real Jekyll and Hyde situation. I’ll take a shot on Zion at this number since he’s putting up 22.1 points per game for the season.

James Harden OVER 8.5 assists

James Harden has been passing the ball at a high level all season long, and he’s cleared 8.5 assists in six of his last nine games.

The Clippers star guard is averaging over 13 potential assists per game this season, and now he gets a New Orleans team that ranks 19th in the NBA in opponent assists per game.

Harden dropped 13 and 10 assists in his two matchups against the Pelicans this season. I love him to go OVER 8.5 dimes tonight.
