Best NBA prop picks December 5: Fade Suns’ Deandre Ayton on the glass

There are eight NBA games on the schedule on Monday.

Deandre Ayton could struggle to produce a significant rebound total against a team that erases centres on the glass. Jalen Green is in the midst of a shooting slump and Dillon Brooks’ role has grown in Memphis since Desmond Bane got injured.

Phoenix Suns centre Ayton has averaged just 9.7 rebounds this season. Dallas Mavericks have been excellent at restricting big men on the glass. Phoenix is playing on second leg of a back-to-back, while Dallas is at home after having Sunday off. Suns coach Monty Williams is more likely to be cautious with Aytons minutes.

The under has hit in five of the last eight games between DeAndre Ayton and Dallas. All three times the over hit, it did so by a single rebound.

Green under 21.5 points (-105) is a tough bet for him. The Philadelphia 76ers have the second-best scoring defence in the NBA (106.6 points/game). Green has had some shooting struggles recently and has hit this under in six of his last nine games.

Brooks has averaged 19.8 points per game since Bane went down with a toe injury. Brooks has hit the over in six of 10 appearances.
