Best NHL prop bets for Stanley Cup Final Game 5

The Vegas Golden Knights can clinch their first Stanley Cup in franchise history on Tuesday night. They hold a 3-1 series lead on the Florida Panthers, and now return home to Vegas for Game 5.

If you want to find out the betting odds for the game, as well as my best bet, check out my betting preview here.

In this article, I’m going to break down my two favorite prop bets for Game 5.

Let’s jump into it.

Stanley Cup Final Game 5 prop bets

  • Jonathan Marchessault OVER 0.5 points (-165)
  • Sergei Bobrovsky UNDER 28.5 saves (-110)

Jonathan Marchessault OVER 0.5 points (-165)

If you’ve been reading my NHL picks articles in this series, you’re probably sick of me making this bet. But, if it ‘aint broke, don’t fix it.

Marchessault has recorded at least one point in every playoff game dating back to Game 1 of the Western Conference Final against the Dallas Stars. He has been on fire and is now the overwhelming favorite to win the Conn Smythe Trophy.

I’ve won on this prop bet so often in this series that even if it loses in the final game, I won’t be upset. Let’s ride it one more time and hope he puts a cherry on top of his Conn Smythe resume.

Sergei Bobrovsky UNDER 28.5 saves (-113)

The Florida Panthers season is on the line, which means they have no choice but to lock things down defensively, especially with Bobrovksy struggling through the first four games.

What does that equate to? A lot of blocked shots.

The more shots that are blocked, the fewer saves Bobrovsky will add to the stat sheet. He has also gone UNDER 28.5 saves in two of the three games that he stayed in the net for the entire duration.

I’ll take the UNDER on his save total on Tuesday.
