Bet365 has agreed a multi-year partnership with Kentucky-based race track and casino operator Sandy’s Racing & Gaming to access the Bluegrass State’s sports betting market.

The partnership will allow online bets to be placed through the bet365 app, with the expected launch of Kentucky sports betting online taking place on September 28.

Kentucky is the sixth US state in which bet365 will operate, joining Colorado, New Jersey, Ohio, Virginia, and Iowa.

The operator has confirmed it will launch a series of bespoke promotions to new and eligible customers in Kentucky, with bettors able to watch live streaming of sports events, place in-game bets, same-game parlays, and early payouts, among other features.

A joint venture between Revolutionary Racing Kentucky (RRK) and the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, Sandy’s Racing & Gaming is a $75m quarter-horse race track and entertainment facility now under construction in Ashland, expected to open this fall.

“We are thrilled to partner with Sandy’s Racing & Gaming,” said a bet365 spokesperson.

“Renowned as the best same-game parlay experience and fastest in-play product in the industry, we’re looking forward to bringing the bet365 brand to the Bluegrass State.”

Bet365 was confirmed by the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission (KHRC) as one of nine sports betting operators to receive a temporary license to operate in the state earlier this week, along with Sandy’s Racing & Gaming, which was confirmed as an approved racetrack sports betting operator.

The firm is the second to partner with Revolutionary Racing Kentucky for market access, with BetMGM agreeing a similar partnership with RRK earlier this month.

BetMGM will develop a 5,200 sq ft retail sportsbook property at Sandy’s Racing & Gaming site in addition to offering its own sportsbook in the state.

“This is an incredibly exciting time to be a sports fan in Kentucky,” Revolutionary Racing CEO Prentice Salter said.

“Bet365 is a trusted, safe, and fun way to place wagers on sports and we are proud to partner with them and offer this option to fans across the Bluegrass State,” he added.
