Betano Daily Bets: Maple Leafs Puckline & Draisaitl powerplay point

Tyler Yaremchuk joined Daily Faceoff Live for another Betano Daily Bets segment. It’s the second night of regular season action in the NHL, and Yaremchuk has two plays lined up revolving around the Toronto Maple Leafs versus Montreal Canadiens and the Edmonton Oilers versus the Vancouver Canucks.

Tyler Yaremchuk:Betano.ca, and let’s jump into it.

Tyler Yaremchuk: I got two plays for tonight both centred around Canadian teams. Let’s start with the Toronto Maple Leafs; they are taking on the Montreal Canadiens, and Ilya Samsonov getting the start. The Leafs are on home ice; I know that this Habs team is going to be scrappy, but on opening night, I like the Toronto Maple Leafs to cover the Puckline at -118. Not the juiciest play, but I like the Leafs to get off on the right foot this evening.

For my second play, we are headed to the Edmonton vs Vancouver game. I’m not picking a side, I’m not picking a total, I’m going to bet on the best powerplay in NHL history. Taking a look at these odds, there’s no value on McDavid. I think it’s a risk to bet Nugent Hopkins or Hyman, but you could pick between Draisaitl and Bouchard; I think they are not decent plays at their prices, -130 and +130. I’m going with the safe bet, though. Draisaitl is my pick. This Oilers PP looked great in the preseason, toying with the opposition. Draisatil to grab a powerplay point at -130 is my play.
