Betfair will donate R$ 15 thousand for each goal scored in the match between Palmeiras x Cruzeiro
The bookmakerBetfair, through its charity project Esporte Futuro, will donate a sum of money to sports charities for each goal scored in the match between Palmeiras x Cruzeiro, which will take place on Monday (14), at Allianz Parque.
The game, called the Betfair classic, is special as both clubs are sponsored by the brand.
The initiative seeks to expand support to institutions in Brazil that work with sport to support needy communities, in addition to celebrating each goal scored by the two sponsored clubs, since with Betfair, the game is different.
The company will allocate BRL 15,000 for each goal scored in the “Betfair Classic”.
In March 2023, Betfair announced the creation in Brazil of the charity project Esporte Futuro, which aims to expand opportunities in grassroots sports across the country.
As part of the company’s commitment to act more for the communities in the countries where it operates, the project began with the distribution of more than R$ 630 thousand reais to five sports associations in Brazil in 2023.
The entities served are Gol de Letra Foundation, Oswaldo Ribeiro de Mendonça Institute, Association and Support for Children at Risk (ACER-Brasil), Rise-Up International Inc. and Jorginho Sports and Educational Center — Bola Pra Frente.
Betfair experts expect a lot of goals
The analysis of specialists in sports odds at Betfair indicates that the match between Palmeiras and Cruzeiro at Allianz Parque could have many goals, good news for the action of Projeto Esporte Futuro.
There are 35% (1.03) chances of the match having at least one goal. 27% of at least two goals scored.
- 27% (1.32) of at least 2 goals;
- 17% (2.05) of at least 3 goals;
- 9% (3.8) of at least 4 goals;
- 5% (7.5) of at least 5 goals;
Betfair also considered the chances for Palmeiras and Cruzeiro to score at least one goal: the odds of both scoring is 46% (2.0).
Verdão is the favorite to win the clash in the Brasileirão. The bookmaker pointed out a 60% (1.55) chance of victory for Palmeiras.
This means that for every real bet on the team, the user gets R$1.55 back. As for Fox, the odds are 15% (6.0) according to Betfair. Already the tie appears with 25% (3.75).
Former Palmeiras and Cruzeiro player, Rivaldo talks about the match
In the opinion of Rivaldo, Betfair ambassador and former player of both clubs, Palmeiras has of winning in the match: “They are two great teams. But today I see Palmeiras a little further ahead than Cruzeiro.
Cruzeiro went through difficult times back there, it was in the second division and returned to the first division and is encountering difficulties, it is fighting there in the middle of the table and needs to be careful”, said the former player in an interview with Betfair.
The star also commented on the prospects for the remainder of the Brazilian Championship for the Fox.
“There’s still a long way to go in the championship and Cruzeiro has a very good structure and he always needs to stay in the first division, because of the fans he has and for the club he is. But today I see Palmeiras more prepared to play a great game and win.”, concluded the star.
