Brasileirão Matchday 1 Betting Favorites
The 2023 season of the Brazil Serie A, known as the Brasileirão, will be starting this weekend, kicking off the first matchday out of 38 this Saturday with a bunch of interesting matches.
The last season saw Palmeiras becoming champion, after dominating the scoreboards with 81 points at the end of the championship.
Internacional and Fluminense were in the second and third spot, being the only teams past 70+ points besides the champions.
With the new season starting, it will be interesting to see how each team arrives into the championship, besides, after Ceara, Atletico Goianiense, Avai, and Juventude were relegated to Serie B, we will have newcomers in the mix.
Cruzeiro, Gremio, Bahia, and Vasco da Gama are the teams that were promoted from Serie B and are looking to make their presence known once the season kicks off.

Atletico Mineiro will be welcoming one of the newcomers into Serie A, and that is a great opportunity for the team that placed 7th in the last season. They started the last championship in good shape just to start crumbling as mid-season hit, so they hope this isn’t the case this time.
Vasco de Gama is the newcomer who will be facing Atletico in their first match, and we are excited to see what they bring to the table, as they were the 4rth team in the last Serie B season. However the case, they are a big team, part of the G-12, and are always ready to surprise.
With the 7th team from Serie A and the 4th from Serie B last season, we expect the match to be exciting, but we think that Atletico Mineiro will be taking the win.

Corinthians are eager to start their season, as they will be having their first match at home, but the fans are also excited about who they will be facing. Last season they had first place for most of the early stages and were established at second once Palmeiras started the engines. However, they started losing ground and ended up in 4th.
Cruzeiro were the Serie B champions last season, and as they were just promoted into the first division, we are eager to see them perform against top competition. The team was in serious trouble in the last years after their economic problems took them to relegation and almost send them to Serie C in what could have been a disaster. Now the big team from Belo Horizonte wants to retake its place as one of the best teams in the Americas.
With this match being a clash from the 4th spot in Serie A vs. the Serie B Champions, we are expecting a contested back and forth in the meeting, but we are backing up the home team.
