Rangers should be buoyed from their League Cup final win on Sunday when St Johnstone visit Ibrox on Wednesday.

The game also gives Gers the chance to close the gap on leaders Celtic to just two points - where they'll also still have a game in hand.

Philippe Clement remains unbeaten since taking the job at Ibrox and has clawed back the Hoops in a matter of weeks, with the Parkhead side in turmoil at present.

They have a real chance of putting Celtic under immense pressure before the Old Firm on the 30th, with three games against sides in the bottom half to come before that.

Saints are unbeaten in three after Saturday's win over Hibs.

They still don't score many goals but Craig Levein has the team well organised and really should've beaten the Hibees by more at the weekend.

Gers have won the last three games in which the sides have met, without St Johnstone scoring.

As mentioned, St Johnstone haven't scored in the last three games with Rangers.

Not much has changed with Saints, as only Livingston have scored fewer goals than them this season.

We can't see them scoring, despite Rangers' back four there to be tested.

Rangers and their supporters will likely be up for this from the word go and this 2/1 looks a good bit of value.

Only Abdallah Sima is worth contemplating as a first scorer more than James Tavenier.

Sunday's match winner showed he's still got the late back post run in his locker with the late strike at Hampden.

Came close to scoring earlier in the game with a free kick, too.

Scored in the last league game against Dundee - from the spot again - and can add to his staggering 115 goals for the Light Blues with the opener here.
