You couldn't find two teams on completely different form paths than these two right now.
Motherwell have gone a pretty ridiculous 14 games without a win - having lost just one of their opening nine games in all competitions.
They're still five points clear of Livingston in bottom place - having played a game more - but it's a worrying time for the Steelmen.
Though they have only lost once in their last five games so that win might not be far away.
But it's not likely to come here against Philippe Clement's Rangers who are powering through a busy time.
Again, the football wasn't great in midweek when beating 10-man St Johnstone at Ibrox, courtesy of a late James Tavernier penalty to seal the points.
But they won't care too much having moved just two points behind Celtic having played a game less.
Unfortunately and unsurprisingly, Kemar Roofe went off with injury yet again early in the game, though there could be more concern over John Lundstram who was taken off at half time having been involved in the incident which led to the red card.

On current form, there's no other result possible here than a Rangers win.
Motherwell should make it difficult for them and it'll be interesting to see what side Clement puts out having rested one or two in midweek - and with big games to come.
But there's no getting away from the places these sides are in and an away win should come.
If Lundstram is to miss out, that'll leave the defence open slightly and they're still not completely convincing, so both teams scoring is decent value.
Dessers is the only fit striker at the club just now so this is his chance to shine.
Has shown improvement in recent weeks after a pretty terrible start to the season.
Scored the opener when replacing Roofe in midweek and there's value in first goal scorer odds at present.
