Big Ten football betting preview: Maryland’s over/under 2023 win total

The Maryland Terrapins football program has been struggling to find footing ever since Ralph Friedgen stopped roaming the sidelines while Maryland was in the ACC in 2010. But, Mike Locksley seems to have started to turn this program around as evidenced by their back-to-back bowl wins and their impressive eight-win season last year.

Locksley has been at Maryland since 2019 and since his first two abysmal years has transformed the Terrapins into a solid threat. Don’t get me wrong, Locksley isn’t known as an elite coach at this point, but he has a good team this year and has made some interesting hires including what looks like a home run at co-offensive coordinator in Kevin Sumlin and Josh Gattis as the other co-offensive coordinator. I am not high on Gattis after his flame-out at Miami, but many pundits feel he can elevate this offense.

Both DraftKings and BetMGM have the Maryland win total at seven, while FanDuel has it set at 7.5 and we are going to dive into how to attack this number.
