Borutka wins Oszi Kanca DIJ at Kincsem

A great harness racing card Saturday at Kincsem Park in Budapest, Hungary included the Oszi Kanca DIJ (purse 1,500,000HUf, 1960 meters distance handicap) with victory to 1.3/1 odds Borutka (3f Illetmeny-Night Lady-Tony Oaks) timed in 1.18.6kr. Csaba Lakatos teamed the winner for trainer Tibor Hajnal and Illetmeny Kft., her sixth 2020 victory in 10 starts.

The 40-meter handicapped Adriana Asti (4f Frullino Jet-Cameron Diaz-Baltic Speed) was next for trainer/driver Veljko Mazsity. Third was Farya BD (3f Andover Hall-Fanciulla-Donerail) handled by her trainer Laszlo Kolozsi.

The Nana DIJ (purse 1,200,000Huf, 1960 meters distance handicap) saw the fluid gaited Maugli (4g El Nino-Manisha Vita-Zerberus) score easily in 1.17.5kr at even-money odds. Trainer Janko Sagaj was the pilot as Maugli won for the third time in Hungary in as many starts.

The 20-meter handicapped  Alexander UR (6g Infinitif-Hoity Toity Face-Egon Lavec) was second for trainer Jozef Rutkai and reinsman Joze Sagaj. Third was Unika Vik (7f Cantab Hall-Nashville OM-Uronometro) for trainer/driver Goran Zolnaji.

Maugli

The Koztarsajagi DIJ (purse 2,000,000Huf, 2400 meters autostart) saw 1.7/1 odds favorite Zeal di Girifalco (5f Igor Font-Inviata d’Italia-Varenne) score in 1.19.2kr for Veljko Mazsity. This was his third win in four 2020 appearances in Hungary.

The 28.5/1 outsider Vittorina Jet (8f Gruccione Jet-Vaniglia Jet-Park Avenue Joe) was second for trainer/driver Dujan Zorko. The 13.3/1 odds Take Me Home (8g Let’s Go-Majestic Angel-Broadway Hall) took third for Joze Sagaj and trainer Zvenko Osteric.
