Boston Bruins vs Toronto Maple Leafs Game Preview and Prediction 2/1/2023

It’s a heavyweight Eastern Conference matchup in the NHL tonight as the Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs are all set to square off. Puck-drop is all set for 7:30 p.m. EST from Scotiabank Arena.

The Bruins enter this game on a small losing streak and they have shown some vulnerability for the first time this season. They still have a healthy lead in the Atlantic Division and around the NHL for the best record but they would love to end their losing streak tonight. It’s a big test for them to enter the All-Star break on a high note. It has been a season to remember for Boston so far this year, dominating the majority of the first half. They hold a record of 38-7-5 on the year.

As for the Maple Leafs, they have a chance to stick it to the Bruins as they are reeling right now. This is the perfect chance to make a statement and with them bring at home, the time is as good as any. They are right behind the Bruins in the standings of the division so a win could go a long way. Toronto holds a record of 31-12-8 on the season but have dealt with some injuries to their star players. Toronto is as good of a team as any so gaining some momentum heading into the break could be great for them.

Prediction: Toronto Maple Leafs 4, Boston Bruins 3 (OT)

I like the Maple Leafs to grab this game tonight in overtime. Boston is struggling right now so I see Toronto jumping on that and getting the huge win.
