The first installment of the Boston Celtics Alumni Series Spotlight is about Ray Allen. Allen played for the Celtics for five seasons. Ray Allen left the Boston Celtics for Miami Heat in 2012. The Heat knocked the Celtics out in the 2012 Eastern Conference Finals. Ray Allen and his teammates fell out over the money. He won a 2013 championship with Miami. His last season in basketball came after the 2014 Finals and he retired in November 2016. He was rumoured to sign with the Golden State Warriors.

Allen is a first-ballot Hall of Famer and has written a book about his NBA career. He is married to Shannon Walker and they have four children. Allen has his own website called Ray34.com. Ray of Hope Foundation is his philanthropic foundation.
