Breeders’ Cup entries, picks, odds and start times

The Breeders’ Cup World Championships are taking place at Keeneland on Saturday. Flightline is the favorite after his win in the Pacific Classic. Jackie's Warrior and Nest are also popular bets. There will be a new All-Turf Pick 4 on the championship schedule. The early Pick 5 starts with Race 1, the middle Pick Five starts at Race 3, and the late Pick5 starts from Race 7. The horses listed below are listed in order of post position. All post times are Eastern. They are in alphabetical order. Odds higher than the fair value warrant a win bet, anything lower and it is a pass.

There is a lot of early speed in this race. Hot Peppers, Slammed, Lady Rocket and Echo Zulu could be tired by the turn. Chain Of Love has only won one of her five events this year. Edgeway, Goodnight Olive, Franks Rockette and Wicked Halo are the only multiple graded stakes winner who also has a win over this track.

No. 1 Slammed, No. 8 Goodnight Olive and No., 13 Echo Zulu are among the contenders for the Breeders’ Cup. The fourth race is a 5½-furlong race for 3-year-olds and up.

Highfield Princess is a seasoned mare with three straight wins in three different countries. She won the Queen Charlotte Fillies’ Stakes over a synthetic surface in 2021 at seven furlongs.

There is a one-mile race for 3-year-olds and up at the Breeders' Cup.

Senor Buscador won the Ack Ack Stakes at 6-1 odds. Three Technique has won just once in his eight starts at a mile on dirt. He's worth considering for the place and show slots in some of your exotics.  Breeders’ Cup entries, picks, odds and start times are available.

Sixth race is a 3/16-mile race for fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up. No. 1 Slow Down Andy, No., 6 Laurel River and No, 9 Cyberknife are contenders.

Rougir was winless in three starts before October's Grade 1 E.P. Taylor Stakes at Woodbine. Going to Vegas won the Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Turf at Del Mar in 2021. Trainer Philip D‘Amato won a Breeder's Cup TurF Sprint in 2016. Flavien Prat and Umberto Rispoli are the jockey choices for the Mabee Stake and BreedERS”CUP.

Seventh race is for 3-year-olds and up.

Jackie's Warrior is the favorite in the eighth race of the pari-mutuel pool. Kimari is coming off back-to-back Grade 2 wins and is running at a distance of one mile. She's 3 for 3 in dirt sprints off a layoff and has two wins in graded stakes.

Annapolis has been solid since breaking his maiden on the first try at Saratoga in 2021. Shirl's Speight is a tough horse to back, but he won the Maker's Mark Mile Stakes at Keeneland in April. He's trained by Todd Pletcher. He has a good chance to win the Breeders’ Cup.

Ninth race is for fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up. No. 7 Beyond Brilliant, No., 9 Malavath and No, 13 Kinross are contenders.

Society is the only true front-runner in the Breeders’ Cup. She broke her maiden at Keeneland and recently won the Grade 1 Cotillion Stakes at Parx.

10th race is for 3-year-olds and up. It's a 1½-mile race on the turf.

Rebel's Romance is the morning-line favorite for Breeders' Cup. War Like Goddess has won five straight 1½-mile turf races.

11th race is a 1¼-mile race for 3-year-olds and up.

Flightline, Rich Strike and Happy Saver are the least-favored horses. Hot Rod Charlie, Life is Good and Olympiad are among the favorites. If pressed for a horse to work with, I'd choose Life Is Good. The previous 3-year-old winners were Arrogate (2016) and American Pharoah (2015).

No. 5 Hot Rod Charlie and No. 7 Olympiad are among the contenders for the Breeders’ Cup.
