Breeders’ Cup kicks off Del Mar racetrack 2021 fall season
The fall meet at Del Mar is open to the public for the first time in two years. The opening weekend will feature the Breeders’ Cup World Championships. This is the second time DelMar will host the event. In 2017, the festival brought in $97 million in economic benefits to San Diego region. Skydivers will drop in during the opening day. Betting challenge offers one more chance to gain free entry. . .. It has a $1,000 buy-in, which includes a live bank roll, and $750 live food and beverages.
The on-site festivities don't end with the Breeders’ Cup. College Day is on November 13. Taste of the Turf Club is offered on the last three Sundays of November. Beer & Fizz Fest is held on Nov. 20. The last day of Bing Crosby meet is November 27. There will be a Handicapping Challenge on that day. The Family Mile Fun Run is not going to be held this year. It is expected to return in the future. During weekends, college and NFL games will show in several pubs. They will also be shown in pubs throughout the facility.
Breeders’ Cup kicks off the 2021 fall season at Del Mar racetrack. First post is 12:30 p.m. on Friday (Nov. 5). The pre-purchased tickets for the Nov. 4-5 and Nov 7-28 are $6 General Admission, $12-$16 Grandstand Seating, discount pricing for children 17 and younger. The Nov 5-6 tickets are pre purchased.
