Brewers playoff hopes all but dashed after deflating loss to Marlins
The Brewers lost to the Miami Marlins on Sunday. They are five games under .500 and face a 64-win team at home on Thursday. The team got off to a 50-game start but has since dropped 11 of 15. The fans were apathetic. Many went home to watch the Green Bay Packers. It's possible the team will be eliminated from the playoffs. If that happens, they will have to play against the Philadelphia Phillies. Milwaukee won the series 3-1. There were 30,000 fans at the game. However, the number of fans in the stadium was lower. A game against Miami was played in front of a smaller crowd.
