Martin O'Neill was a player at Nottingham Forest in 1971. He was playing amateur football for Distillery before joining the Forest. Matt Gillies wanted him to join the team and he signed him. O’Neill has written a new autobiography On Days Like These. He is proud of his career and his relationship with Brian Clough. The book is written in long hand and photocopied for his daughters. It is about his time at Forest and the Troubles. His favourite player was John Robertson. John was not as forthcoming with praise as O'sNeill. Martin O'tne is embarrassed by his dressing room stances with Cloug.
