Martin O'Neill finally reveals Celtic 'number 31' affinity as decades old question answered
Martin O'Neill has always had a fondness for the number 31 throughout his career. He wore it on his tracksuit as Celtic manager and also at Sunderland, Aston Villa and with the Ireland national team. The reason for his number is related to his time at Nottingham Forest when they won the European Cup. He was given a silver piece of silverware with his name on it.
