Bulls expect Lonzo Ball to return in a few months

Lonzo Ball underwent left knee surgery on Wednesday. He is expected to miss at least a few months. Chicago Bulls are giving him top-15 odds of returning to the playoffs in 2023. Ball signed a four-year, $80 million contract with the New Orleans Pelicans last August.

Lonzo Ball is recovering from a meniscus tear. He was supposed to return in March 2021 but had a setback in rehabilitation. Ball was ruled out for the remainder of the 2021-22 season. The Bulls hope he can make his 2022-23 season debut by December. Ball averaged 13 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 5,1 assists last season, plus shot 42.3% from the field and 3-point range.
