Bulls vs. Jazz prediction

Chicago sits in ninth place of the Eastern Conference standings and will likely be a part of the Play-In Tournament next month for a second straight season.

Utah is on the outside looking in as far as the playoff race is concerned in the Western Conference. The Jazz are five games behind the Golden State Warriors for the final play-in spot in the West as Utah has lost eight of its last 10 contests.

Utah returned home from an 0-3 road trip to defeat Washington on Monday, 127-115, as five-point favorites. Leading scorer Lauri Markkanen sat out for the Jazz, but Jordan Clarkson provided a huge spark off the bench with 38 points.

In their first matchup this season at the United Center in November, the Bulls topped the Jazz in a 130-113 win as four-point home favorites. The two teams combined to hit 34 three-pointers as the Over 223 was never in doubt.

Bulls vs. Jazz pick

Chicago has not fared well off a win since late January by posting a 1-7 mark in this situation. Granted, the lone victory in this stretch came as a road favorite at Memphis last month.

The Jazz have excelled as a home underdog this season by compiling a 6-3 record both straight up and against the spread in their last nine opportunities.

Utah has defeated the likes of Denver, Dallas, Miami and New York as a home ‘dog, but will be without Markkanen once again tonight.

Although Chicago has had problems winning consecutive games recently, it’s hard to back the Jazz without their leading scorer and how much they have struggled over the last month.

Let’s lay the short number with the Bulls on the road.

Pick: Bulls -4 (-106 at FanDuel)
