Buying or Selling the Latest UFC Fight Rumors

There are rumors about UFC fights taking place later in the year. Conor McGregor, Israel Adesanya, Jon Jones and Francis Ngannou are some of the biggest names rumoured to be involved. None of them have been confirmed yet.

Leon Edwards won the UFC welterweight title by beating Kamaru Usman. Edwards lost the first fight between them back in 2015. The rematch is most likely to take place at UFC 286 on March 18 in London. Usamans manager has assured skeptics that the trilogy is going ahead.

Alex Pereira is 3-0 against Israel Adesanya in two combat sport disciplines. Pereiras won the third fight in the UFC's Octagon last fall. The Brazilian is betting it will be announced in next month or two. The fight makes sense and is one of the biggest in middleweight division. Khamzat Chimaev doesn't deserve a title shot yet.

Conor McGregor hasn't fought since he suffered a broken leg in a second consecutive loss to Dustin Poirier in 2021. He will probably need to reenroll in the USADA testing pool for six months before he can fight again. If he enrolled today, he would be able to fight until mid-July. Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler are two of the biggest names in lightweight division. Conor is not in any rush to get back in USDA testing program.

Henry Cejudo is the favorite to fight Aljamain Sterling for the bantamweight title. However, the champion is injured and it's unlikely to happen. Sean O'Malley is a contender and is fresh off a win over Petr Yan. He is also the division's No. 1 contender.

Francis Ngannou and Jon Jones are the biggest fights the UFC can make right now. Both fighters are in contract disputes with the promotion. Ngansou is already packed and the chances of the two fighters meeting before he takes off seem very low. The fight is unlikely to happen. It joins the long list of fights that almost happened but didn't.
