Caesars Odds, Preview, Picks, Best Bets for the Pac-12 Tournament Championship on the Pac-12 Network & ESPN

You are now ready to get in on the action before the Pac-12 Championship tips off on Wednesday. Now let's take a look at some of the key players in this tournament and who we like to hoist one of college basketball's most prestigious trophies on ESPN this Saturday.

The Favorites

  • #2 UCLA Bruins (+130 at Caesars Sportsbook): The Bruins come in as the betting favorite after winning the regular season title and their final ten games. They've succeeded thanks to a defense that ranks sixth in the country in scoring (60.1 PPG). The Bruin's offense has also been fantastic, ranking second in the Pac-12 in scoring (74.2 PPG) and field goal percentage (36.5%). They have gone 22-2 since Thanksgiving and will be playing for the top seed in the NCAA tournament. The Bruins went 2-2 on neutral courts this season, losing to both of the ranked teams they played (Illinois & Baylor). They will take on the winner of Washington vs Colorado on Thursday, Mar 9 at 3 PM EST on the Pac-12 Network.

  • #8 Arizona Wildcats (+190 at Caesars Sportsbook): The Wildcats come in just behind the Bruins thanks to an offense that ranks fourth in NCAAB in scoring (83.1 PPG), second in assists (19.3 APG), ninth in field goal percentage (49.3%), and eighth in rebounding (39.7 RPG). Their great offensive play has made up for a defense that has struggled all season. They will take on the winner of Utah vs Stanford on Thursday, Mar 9 at 9 PM EST on the Pac-12 Netowork.

In the Running

  • USC Trojans (+600 at Caesars Sportsbook): The Trojans closed out their season by winning five of their final six games, with the one loss coming against Arizona. They do have one win at home against UCLA, but it's their lone win against a ranked opponent. While they have likely secured their spot in March Madness, a deep tournament run could drastically improve their seeding. They will play the Arizona State vs Oregon State winner on the Pac-12 Network on Thursday, Mar 9 at 11:30 PM EST.

  • Oregon Ducks (+900 at Caesars Sportsbook): The Ducks grabbed the four seed and a first-round bye after winning their final three games. They don't overwhelm you statistically, but Oregon fought their way into the top four. While they blew out Arizona at home in January, the Ducks are just 1-6 against ranked opponents this season. Their defense has been hot (65.6 PPG over the last five games), which could help them make a key run during CBB Champ Week and help their chances on Selection Sunday. They will face the Washington State vs Cal winner on the Pac-12 Network on Thursday, Mar 9 at 5:30 PM EST.

  • Washington State Cougars (+1500 at Caesars Sportsbook): The Cougars finished the season in fifth place in the Pac-12 but enter as the fifth favorite to win the Pac-12 Championship. Their favor with bookmakers is due to their winning their final six games. They have one blowout win on the road against Arizona but have lost their four other games to ranked opponents. While one was a brutal loss to the Bruins, they lost their other three games by six or fewer points. They finished the season 16-15, so they'll need the automatic qualifier to have a shot at the NCAA Tournament. Don't be surprised to see the Cougars playing on Saturday. They'll open against Cal on the Pac-12 Network on Wednesday, Mar 8 at 5:30 PM EST.

Our Best Bet

We are taking Arizona to win the Pac-12 tournament Championship on ESPN College Basketball Saturday.

While the odds aren't overly appealing, this conference has two teams clearly above the rest. While USC and Oregon have played well down the stretch, both seem close to the Bruins and Wildcats.

We like Arizona over UCLA because of their schedule. They have beaten many ranked teams, including San Diego State, Tennessee, Indiana, Creighton, and UCLA. Arizona also won all four of their neutral court games, three of which came against ranked opponents.

This shows that the Wildcats are one of the country's most complete teams, which carries them to the Pac-12 Championship title this week.
