Caleb Williams is odds-on favorite to go No. 1 overall at sportsbooks
With the 2023-24 NFL regular season now at a close, there are 14 teams that have a shot at winning a Super Bowl. For the other 18, it’s time to turn their eyes to the 2024 draft in April.
The Carolina Panthers have the No. 1 pick, but it will go to the Chicago Bears as a result of the Bryce Young trade last year.
Here is the order of the top five picks:
- Washington Commanders
- New England Patriots
- Arizona Cardinals
- Los Angeles Chargers
Sportsbook have had odds out for a few months on the No. 1 overall pick, and USC quarterback Caleb Williams has been atop the board. At DraftKings Sportsbook, he is a -800 favorite. UNC QB Drake Maye has the next-best odds at +500, followed by LSU’s Heisman winning QB Jayden Daniels (10-1) and Ohio State WR Marvin Harrison Jr. (15-1). Washington QB Michael Penix Jr. has 40-1 odds; everyone else is currently at 90-1 odds or worse.
At FanDuel Sportsbook, Williams is a -650 favorite to go No. 1 overall with the field at +470.
Will Chicago keep Justin Fields? Will the Bears trade away the No. 1 pick to a QB-needy team?
It will be a fascinating market to watch over the next few months.
