Can Bay Area cricket be a launching pad for local prospects, new U.S. league?
Rahul Jariwala is a 19-year-old Bay Area native. He is playing cricket for the U.S. Senior National Team. The team is going to play in the second Minor League Cricket Championship at the end of August in North Carolina. Cricket is played by about 200,000 people in this country. It is more popular in India. Cricket was played in New York City in 1844. U.,S joined the ICC in 1965. In the last five years, the national team has been able to compete in international cricket. Jariwala has to balance his sports career with his college studies.
