Can Modern Games deliver at the Breeders' Cup in 2022?

Modern Games won the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf at Del Mar last year but was removed for betting purposes. Godolphin runner will be back in contention for a top prize at the 2019 Breeder's Cup at Keeneland. Modern Games has his sights set on the breeders’ Cup Mile.

Modern Games has had a difficult season. He has been competing with Baaeed for the top prizes. Modern Games is back on track and won the G1 Woodbine Mile in late September. However, he wasn't able to warm up for his next race, the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes at Ascot.

Bayside Boy could be one of the contenders in the Breeders’ Cup Mile this year. His campaign started with a humbling defeat over a mile at Longchamp. He came full circle at Ascot earlier this month, when he finished over one-and-a-half lengths clear of Modern Games.

Kinross is the betting for the Mile. Ralph Beckett is looking for his first success in the race. Frankie Dettori is hoping to win the event for a second time. Kinross has won his previous four races. He is unproven in this distance.
