Can progressive Free Wind take another step up the ladder for the Gosdens?

John Gosden is chasing Sir Henry Cecil for the record of most wins in the Lancashire Oaks. Enbihaar's victory in 2019 took him one clear of the late, great Cecil. Free Wind stormed home to land the Park Hill at Doncaster last year.

Free Wind won the Park Hill at Doncaster by seven lengths. She has a career-best RPR of 113. Journey won a Group 1 race at Royal Ascot at the age of four. Eshaada is a winner of the race last year. Denis Coakley saddles dark horse Nell Quickly. Nelven Quickley finished third in the Pinnacle Stakes over course and distance last time. Nelleven finished behind Miss Marjurie in that race in 2015.

Kawida was fifth in the Oaks at Epsom. Ed Walker-trained filly will be ridden by Neil Callan. Alpinista is preparing for her comeback in Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud on Sunday. The last nine Lancashire Oaks winners have been four-year-olds. Free Wind is a progressive horse owned by Gosden family.

Roger Varian is the trainer of Believe In Love and Eshaada. John Gosden is joint-trainer of Free Wind. Denis Coakley is trainer for Nell Quickly. Hughie Morrison is going for a Group 2 race.  The ground should be good to soft. Free wind's rivals are rated 10-15lb higher. Nel Quickley's trainer is Denis coakly, who is taking it a step at a time.
