Carlisle chasing a hat-trick at Flemington
Carlisle has won his last two starts for trainer John Moloney. His half-brother Maddox was a last-start winner at Sale on April 27. The Regiment won the Bairnsdale Cup in March. Carlisle will run in the second heat of the Mahogany Challenge at Flemington on Saturday.
Carlisle runs at Flemington on Saturday. Carlisle has progressed from a Werribee maiden winner to a Saturday city winner in 2022. The Regiment is a $71 chance in the 2022 Melbourne Cup Tour Handicap (1600m) on Benchmark 78 grade. The regiment struggled at Anzac Day but drops to Benchmarks 78 on the Saturday at the Flemmons.
