Caulfield Cup Carnival 2023

The Caulfield Cup Carnival program has a new look and feel this year, with a suite of new race day names and two brand new races.

The season kicks off with Neds Caulfield Guineas on Saturday October 14, featuring an action-packed day for punters and pleasure-seekers alike. A few days later, the Catanach’s Jewellers Caulfield Social whets the weekday racing appetite on Wednesday October 18, paving the way for the big-ticket Carlton Draught Caulfield Cup on Saturday October 21.

The Schweppes Caulfield Thousand , taking place on Saturday November 18, is a new addition to the calendar this year, shucking prim-and-proper race day traditions for a more relaxed and casual trackside atmosphere. On Saturday December 2, see out the season in style (and welcome in the summer) at the Caulfield Spring Finale – with a major music headliner to be announced soon.

At the Caulfield Guineas and Caulfield Cup, a general admission ticket lets racegoers into Caulfield Racecourse’s brand new Wilderland precinct, with views of the home straight, the best in fashion and heaps of trackside entertainment (including tranquillity at the Hanging Garden).

Pre-season highlights include the Catanach’s Jewellers Caulfield Charity Family Day on Saturday September 23, featuring the centenary edition of the Group 1 Underwood Stakes.

Tickets to the 2023 Caulfield Cup Carnival are on sale now, including the new MRC Racing Pass for general admission access for all race days at Caulfield, Mornington and Ladbrokes Park.

Throughout the season, you can book into Black Caviar Restaurant for a six-course degustation lunch; grab bites from pop-ups by eateries like DOC, Royal Stacks, Moonfishh and Daniel’s Donuts; sip drinks from Bar Aperitivo by Tanqueray and Champagne House by Moet & Chandon; and more.
