Cavaliers vs. Raptors prop picks: Bet on VanVleet and Garland to deliver in season opener

The Toronto Raptors kick off their 2022-23 season at home against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday.

Garland is an all-star last season. He was sixth in the NBA in assists per game last year. Mitchell will eat into Garland's 27.8% usage rate. Evan Mobley's usage will climb. Garland is a good free throw shooter and long range shooter. Cavaliers vs. Raptors is the season opener. Cavaliers are the favourites.

Barnes is the reigning Rookie of the Year. He averaged 15.3 points per game in his first season. Barnes will have to compete for rebounds with Mobley and Jarrett Allen. The Cavaliers allowed fewer points than all but three teams last season, so Barnes is under-performing.

VanVleet is a plus-112 bet on him getting 5.5 assists tonight. The Raptors have a lot of scoring options and VanVeleet has averaged 6-plus assists per game in three consecutive seasons.
