Celtic legend Neil Lennon shock FAVOURITE for Scottish Premiership manager job

NEIL LENNON could be in line for a shock return to the Scottish Premiership.

That's because he's been made the FAVOURITE to be one club's next manager.

There are currently no vacancies in the Premiership but some bosses are coming under pressure.

And the pressure is certainly building on Stuart Kettlewell at Motherwell.

The Steelmen are currently dealing with a horror run form and lost 3-0 away to Ross County last night.

After enjoying a superb start to the campaign, Motherwell have now gone TWELVE matches without a win with eight of those games resulting in defeat.

It's more than three months since their last victory, a 1-0 win at Hearts on September 3.

Kettlewell last night admitted the defeat to his former club County was one of his WORST EVER games.

He said: "The level of performance and the start to the game, and the 90 minutes in general, was so far removed from where it needs to be to be competitive in this league."

There's no suggestion that Motherwell are preparing to make a change, but with Kettlewell under pressure, the bookies have priced-up potential next managers at Fir Park.

And it's Celtic icon Lennon who is the early favourite, according to odds by SportsLens.

The ex-Hoops and Hibs boss has been out of work since being dismissed by Cypriot outfit Omonia in October 2022.

Despite being linked with a number of vacancies, Lennon has yet to make his return to management.

He's one of several big names seen as potential contenders should the Motherwell job become available.

Another former Celtic captain, Paul Lambert - a former Motherwell player - has been priced-up as second favourite at 5/1.

Rangers hero Stuart McCall is out of work having been sacked from his No2 role at Sheffield United this week and a shock return as Motherwell manager is priced at 6/1.

Scott Brown, Callum Davidson and Jack Ross are next on the list of odds.
