Kevin Muscat Favourite To Take Over From Beale

Former Rangers defender Kevin Muscat leads the betting in the next Rangers manager odds. He has built up an impressive managerial CV and is currently 7/2 to take over from Beale at Ibrox.

Muscat’s best spells have come at Melbourne Victory and his current side Yokohama F. Marinos, where former Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou made a name for himself before managing in Scotland.

The 50-year-old is now fancied to follow in the footsteps of Postecoglou to the Scottish Premiership and become the new manager of his ex-club Rangers.

Graham Potter One Of Best Candidates Currently Without A Club

Former Chelsea and Brighton boss Graham Potter has been without a job since he was sacked by the Blues earlier on this year in April.

He is priced at 14/1 to be the next Rangers manager, and his poor run at Chelsea can be forgotten due to how well he did with Brighton and other previous clubs.

Potter broke a number of records when he was in charge of the Sussex club, building a foundation for greatness before Roberto De Zerbi took over following his move to Chelsea.

Steven Gerrard Priced At 50/1 To Make Shock Return To Ibrox

Steven Gerrard’s first senior managerial job was at Rangers back in 2018, and he did a great job at Ibrox, before going on to join Aston Villa in 2021.

Gerrard was to thank for Rangers’ first win over Celtic since 2012 in his first season in charge of the club, and the following year he turned down the Newcastle United job to stay in Glasgow.

During the 2020-21 season, Gerrard led Rangers to one of their best seasons in recent years as the side claimed back-to-back Old Firm derby wins. They also topped their Europa League group and won the Scottish Premiership without losing a single game, and that was Gerrard’s first trophy as a manager.

The Liverpool legend now finds himself managing Saudi Pro League side Al-Ettifaq and whilst he is unlikely to leave there anytime soon, he would be welcomed back to Ibrox with open arms after his success at the club already. He is currently 50/1 in the latest next Rangers manager odds.

Lee Astley, SportsLens’ Head of News, said: “Michael Beale seems to be under a fair bit of pressure now at Rangers following the Champions League exit and Old Firm loss at the weekend.

“The side have not made a good start to the season and if things don’t change soon, he may find himself being axed. Kevin Muscat has followed a similar route through management as Ange Postecoglou, and he could make the step up to Scottish football just like the ex-Celtic boss did.

“There are plenty of options for Rangers out there, with a lot of top quality managers currently without jobs. We will have to wait and see if Beale can survive this, but it looks like a lot of fans are losing patience.”
