The Celtics are 4-point favorites on the road in Minnesota at 8:00 pm EST Wednesday night. Moneyline odds are set at -175 for Boston and +150 on Minnesota.

Boston is 47-22 and second in the East, while Minnesota 35-34 and seventh in the West.

Boston was in Houston on Monday night and came up short to a struggling Rockets team 111-109, despite Jaylen Brown going off for 43 points. That snapped a two-game winning streak for the Celtics.

Meanwhile, Minnesota is coming off a 136-115 win over the Atlanta Hawks on Monday night; a win that saw Anthony Edwards score 32 points and six players all hitting double digit points. The Timberwolves had lost two games prior to Monday’s win.

The Celtics had been riding a long run of success against the Timberwolves. They had won nine in a row prior to a loss when the teams first met last season. However, Boston won the second meeting and now won earlier this season as well back in December. That win on December 23 came by a 121-109 scoreline.

While Edwards and D’Angelo Russell each had good nights for Minnesota with 30 and 21 points respectively, it wasn’t enough against a Boston team that saw both Jaylen Brown (36) and Jayson Tatum (30) each hit the 30-point mark.

From an ATS perspective, Minnesota has a losing record at 33-36-0 while Boston has made money for their backers at 37-32-0.

Minnesota has a similar record when it comes to totals bets at 33-36-0, while Boston has played one more over than under at 34-33-2.

In recent games, Boston is only 2-4 SU, but has cashed ATS bets in three of their past four games. Those three ATS wins are their only three over their past eight games.

Over on the Minnesota side, they’ve been heating up with both straight up and ATS wins in four of their past six games.

The Celtics’ form has dipped just a bit of late and with Edwards on fire with three-straight 32-point games and the T-Wolves at home, I’ll take Minnesota on the spread.

Here are a few Celtics vs. Timberwolves props to consider for a potential same-game parlay (SGP) once SGP options become available. Several standard player props are available at the time of this writing, but not the SGP props yet.

When these teams last met Edwards had six rebounds. He’s averaging 5.9 rebounds per game and his rebound totals of late have read 8, 6, 7, 4, 5, 4, 5, 8, 4, 5 and 5.

His rebound total for Wednesday is set at 5.5 rebounds. He’s gone over that number in three straight games, so a play on the over at -110 could be a play on its own.

In his Monday night SGP props for rebounds you could take over 3.5 rebounds at -450 odds. That looks like a good piece to include in a Wednesday SGP considering he’s gone over 3.5 rebounds in 11 straight games.

Edwards has also been heating up in the points department with 32, 32, 32 and 27 points in his past four games. His 20+ points SGP prop was -700 on Monday, while 25+ was -210. Those could be good SGP picks, or else simply back in to go over his standard total of 27.5 points at DraftKings.
