CFP Final Four vs. Natty Odds

The College Football Playoff is less than two weeks away. The No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs will play the No 4 Ohio State Buckeyes in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl. No 2 Michigan Wolverines will take on the TCU Horned Frogs in Allstate Sugar Bowl, who are a first-time participant in CFP.

Georgia is the favorite to win the CFP. The Bulldogs are 6.5 points ahead of Ohio State in the semifinals. Georgia was the preseason favorite. Georgia beat LSU in SEC Championship Game.

Michigan has the second-shortest odds to win the CFP Championship Game. Ohio State is the third-favorite in the futures market. The Buckeyes didn't qualify for their conference title game and needed help to make the B1G. They got it when Utah beat USC in Pac-12 Championship. Michigan is a 7.5-point favorite in their semifinal game against Georgia. Georgia is 6. 5-points underdog to the Wolverines.

TCU is a 7.5-point underdog to Michigan. The committee ranked TCU third. Sportsbooks have them as the clearcut fourth-best team in the playoffs. TCU opened at +15000. Their current price is +1800. The shift from +1000 before championship week does leave me scratching my head. We already knew that TCU would be an underdog.
