Champions League betting tips: Four bets that could make you a fortune this week

A lot has happened since a ball was last kicked in the Champions League. Messi has almost certainly settled the GOAT debate, Manchester City are embroiled in a financial fair play fiasco and Chelsea and Liverpool have only won seven league games between them.

The biggest tournament in club football returns this week with the first-legs of four knockout ties. The match of the week is undoutedly PSG v Bayern Munich in a repeat of the 2020 final. Elsewhere Tottenham face AC Milan in another tasty tie whilst an out of form Chelsea take on Borussia Dortmund. Club Brugge play Benfica in the other last-16 game.

Here's four bets that could make you a fortune this week.

PSG v Bayern Munich - PSG to win and over 2.5 goals (13/5)

Two of the best and highest scoring teams in Europe meet on Tuesday night. PSG are always amongst the favourites for the competition but have yet to actually win it. Could this be their year? Bayern Munich will also fancy their chances given the obliterated their way through their group.

There'll also likely be some added spice given Bayern Munich's beat PSG to win the competition back in 2020.

AC Milan v Tottenham - Tottenham to win both teams to score (5/1)

Spurs league form has been somewhat unpredictable over recent weeks but with Anthonio Conte at the healm they'll always be contenders for European games. Add in the usual excellent form of Harry Kane and this bet looks decent. AC Milan aren't goal shy either but are leaky at the back.

AC Milan's recent form has been patchy with just two wins from nine matches so far this calendar year.

The atmosphere at the San Siro will be electric and so a high scoring affair could well be possible.

Borrusia Dortmund v Chelsea - Jude Bellingham to score or assist anytime (12/5)

Whilst Bellingham hasn't exactly been setting the goalscoring charts alright this season he has performed impressively in the Champions League. He also starred in England's run to the quarter-finals of the World Cup.

With the never-ending rumour mill suggesting a move to the Premier League this summer it's about now that the Englishman will be hoping to further boost his already impressive profile.

This will likely be a tough tie for Chelsea whose recent form has been poor. Stopping Bellingham will be key if Chelsea are to harbour any hopes of progressing over the two-legs.

Club Brugge v Benfica - Benfica to win and over 1.5 goals (11/10)

Not the longest of odds on this but with Benfica top of the Primera Liga and Club Brugge sitting just fourth in their league then victory for the Portuguese side seems the more likely outcome. Benfica are also scoring for fun at the moment with nine goals in their last four matches. They also haven't lost a match in 90 minutes so far in 2023.

Brugge aren't exactly prolific scorers but do have goals in their side. A Benfica win and over 2.5 goals is available at 7/4.
