Chelsea have had EASIEST start to season despite being 14th

CHELSEA have supposedly had the easiest start to the Premier League season despite sitting 14th in the table.

Mauricio Pochettino's men have struggled to find their best form having only picked up one win this season.

This is despite Opta's power rankings claiming that the Blues' first five games of the season were the easiest out of any of the clubs in the Premier League.

The solo victory came against newly promoted Luton Town at Stamford Bridge in August.

Since the win, Chelsea have lost to Nottingham Forest at home and drawn away at Bournemouth, two teams that battled relegation last season.

The Blues were also heavily beaten by London rivals West Ham in their second game of the season.

This means that with the win over Luton and the season-opening draw against Liverpool, the club only has five points and are ten points behind Manchester City in first.

Despite Chelsea's poor start on the pitch, a supercomputer has backed the Blues to recover and finish 7th in the league.

This would be enough to see the club return to European football as they would qualify for the Conference League.

Tottenham however have started the season in fine form and are unbeaten after their opening five fixtures.

Ange Postecoglou has seen his team win four out of five with their only draw coming against Brentford on the opening day of the season.

Spurs now sit second in the league after wins against Manchester United, Burnley, Bournemouth and Sheffield United.

However, like Chelsea, Tottenham have had an easy start as Opta claims that their start was the second easiest in the league.

Newcastle had been struggling this season until their win against Brentford losing three of their first five games.

This had led to some uncertainty from fans however to explain the situation, Opta has suggested that the club has had the hardest fixtures out of anyone in the league.

Brighton and Hove Albion on the other hand have continued to impress after last season.

The Seagulls sit 5th in the table after winning four of their five games, with one defeat coming to West Ham.

What makes Roberto de Zerbi's side's record more impressive is that they have the seventh-hardest start.
