Cheltenham Festival 2024: Date, race times, day-by-day schedule, betting tips and talkSPORT commentary for biggest racing event of the year

Cheltenham Festival is the highlight of the horse-racing calendar and all eyes are now set on the 2024 edition which gets underway in March.

The event is always full of high-quality racing and plenty of drama as thousands of fans watch on from the stands at the world-famous course.

Galopins Des Champs stole the headlines by winning the Gold Cup as he stormed clear of Bravemansgame to win the iconic race under the reigns of Paul Townend.

Constitution Hill incredibly dominated the Champion Hurdle and Nicky Henderson will be expecting his superstar to make it back-to-back victories this year.

The 2024 Cheltenham Festival will begin on Tuesday, March 12.

The event will consist of four full days of racing and will come to an end on Friday, March 15.

Each day of action includes seven races meaning there is a total of 28 throughout the week.

Racing is set to begin at 1:30pm each day with 40-minute intervals between each race.

The final races of each day will take place at 5:30pm.

Tuesday is traditionally known as Champion Day, Wednesday is Ladies Day, Thursday is St Patrick's Thursday and Friday is the big one, Gold Cup day.

As ever, talkSPORT will be bringing fans live coverage of the festival with commentary from the course each day.

talkSPORT.com will keep you up to date with all the build-up and reaction from Cheltenham too.

Cheltenham will also be broadcast live and free-to-air on ITV.

Now that Cheltenham is only a couple of months away, punters may start considering who they want to back for the Gold Cup.

Reigning champion Galopins Des Champs is the odds-on favourite to win the big one on talkSPORT BET. You can view the odds here

Fastorslow is another of the favourites while Shishkin and Gerry Colombe are another couple of horses heading into the festival on shorter odds.
