St. Louis Cardinals

The Cardinals got two RBI fro Nolan Arenado, Jordan Walker and Paul DeJong in the Thursday opener win, but couldn’t muster much in game two. On Saturday St. Louis coughed up 15 hits in an 8-6 loss. ANDREW’S FREE PICK

I’m going Cardinals. Montgomery should be able to put up a quality outing in this finale, but he’ll need some help from the bats and the pen. Montgomery is 1-0 over his last three games with two earned allowed over 17.0 innings on 11 hits and six walks. He’s gone at least 6.0 frames in two of those three starts. On Saturday St. Louis had a pretty solid offensive outing, but through 5.1 innings the team was on the losing end of an eight-earned onslaught. That said, if the Cardinals bullpen can rally in support of Montgomery I think St. Louis will be in great shape to even things up in the series on Sunday.
