Chris Bassitt deal with Blue Jays
Chris Bassitt has signed a three-year, $63 million contract with the Toronto Blue Jays. Bassit is coming off a strong season with New York Mets. He has limited postseason experience. The contract is worth $21 million per year. It's the fourth consecutive year the Blue Jay's have signed players with an average annual value of $20 million or more. Alek Manoah, Kevin Gausman, José Berríos and Jose de Jesus are the current starters. They should be able to eat 170 innings or so if all stay healthy. It will be a good combination.
