148th running of Clark Handicap marks 100th anniversary of Exterminator's historic win. Exterminator won the Clark by 1 ½ lengths in 1922. Willis Kilmer's horse was the winner of the 1918 Kentucky Derby. He retired with 50 wins from 100 starts and lifetime earnings of $252,996. He was inducted into the U.S. Racing Hall of Fame in 1957 and the Canadian RacingHall of fame in 2016. The track was working overnight for the race. Lady Midcap set the early fractions and nearly carried her speed to a wire-to-wire victory.
