Cincinnati was in the College Football Playoff. It lost to Alabama in a penalty kick. Cincinnati is preparing for life in Big 12 next year. Head coach Luke Fickell has created a powerhouse with staying power. The schedule isn't that bad. Even if it isn’t another College football playoff run, it should still be another big year for Cincinnati.

Cincinnati's offense finished 58th in the nation in total offense last year. The offensive line should be better this year, but the skill players are still lacking. Evan Prater will have to replace Desmond Ridder, who went to the NFL. Ben Bryant is in contention to play quarterback. Corey Kiner will be a good back to rotate with Ryan Montgomery.

Cincinnati Bearcats lost a lot of talent on the defense, but most of the starters are back. The team has plenty of depth, especially in the line and the linebackers. However, the secondary is a problem. The new Kansas City Chief Bryan Cook might be a big loss. Ja’von Hicks is good at safety and Arquon Bush is ready to do more.
