Clarence House Chase: Will Edwardstone vs Energumene live up to the 2022 Ascot thriller?

Edwardstone and Energumene will meet in the Clarence House Chase at Ascot next Saturday. Last year's race was a classic between Willie Mullins' and Nicky Henderson's horses. Edwardstone is a Cheltenham Festival winner.

Edwardstone and Energumene are going to meet in the Clarence House Chase. Last year's match-up between Shishkin and Mullins was epic. Enerumne won the Champion Chase at Cheltenham. Edwardstone won at Cork. Shisheskin finished third in Tingle Creek at Sandown.

Edwardstone is the new British challenger for Clarence House Chase. Shishkin was the more hyped of the pair. Edwardstone has won the Arkle and Tingle Creek Chase for his owners. He has also won Grade One glory in the Henry VIII Novices' Chase and the Tingo Creek.

Edwardstone and Energumene are going to compete in the Clarence House Chase at Ascot in 2022. Both horses have Festival victories to their name. Enerumne was beaten in this race last year by Shishkin.

Energumene is the overwhelming favourite to win the Champion Chase at the Cheltenham Festival. Edwardstone is next in at 9/4. Blue Lord is a 6/1 chance and Greaneteen is at 14/15.

Edwardstone and Energumene will go head-to-head in the Clarence House Chase on Saturday January 21.
