Claude Giroux Trade Odds: Panthers, Avalanche or Maple Leafs?

Claude Giroux is expected to be traded by the NHL trade deadline on March 21. He has a no-trade clause in his contract, but he and the Flyers have openly talked about the probability that he'll be on the move to another team soon.

Flyers GM Chuck Fletcher and assistant Danny Briere have been spotted at a couple of Charlotte Checkers games. Owen Tippett plays for the Checker's. Tipper was a first-round pick of the Florida Panthers in the NHL. He's been unable to stick with the Panthers' AHL team and is available in a potential Claude Giroux deal.

Colorado Avalanche are interested in signing Claude Giroux. The Avs and Flyers have been scouting each other recently. The Flyers brass has been interested a top Florida prospect recently, so it's possible that the deal for Giroud isn't as easy as it was thought.

Toronto Maple Leafs are interested in Claude Giroux. The Flyers are willing to accommodate Giroud's relocation desires. Toronto doesn't have a lot of cap space, but GM Kyle Dubas is smart.

St. Louis Blues are interested in Claude Giroux. Blues GM Doug Armstrong likes to make big deals. The Blues coach Craig Berube is close to Giroud. The team needs to offload a nice-sized contract in return for Girouou.
