Cleveland Cavaliers prepared for new reality as ‘hunted’ with Donovan Mitchell: ‘We aren’t going to surprise anybody’

Mobley was in the gym on Sept. 1 when he heard the news about the trade for Donovan Mitchell. Mobley has had multiple conversations with Mitchell since high school. Kevin Love believes the Cavs have the makings of a team that could have four All-Stars. The Cavs transformed from an upstart to a contender last year. They are brimming with confidence heading into the 2022-23 season. It's the first time they have gathered as a group since the Mitchell trade. Their media day on Monday was different. it was jovial.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are excited about their new team. They have a lot of talent and depth. The team is going to play for a title this season. Ricky Rubio is hoping to return from a torn ACL in December. Dean Wade, Lamar Stevens and Mobley worked out together during the offseason. Raul Neto and Robin Lopez fill the gaps at backup point guard and center. Mitchell was introduced at the arena less than two weeks ago. He was joking with teammates and posing for photos. Love believes the team has a chance to win and win big. It's amazing to see the whole thing come full circle. For Altman, it's important to focus on the development of the players.
