Clippers vs. Rockets NBA expert prediction and odds for Wednesday, March 6 (Trust Cli

The Los Angeles Clippers are on the road on Wednesday night as they look to earn a bounce-back win against the Houston Rockets.

The Clips dropped their last game, blowing a lead against the Milwaukee Bucks, but Houston is a much easier opponent, who happens to be playing the second night of a back-to-back.

The Rockets are solid at home this season, going 10-5 against the spread as home dogs, and they’ll look to keep that going in this one.

Can Kawhi Leonard and the Clippers cover the spread and keep pushing for the No. 1 seed in the West?

Clippers injury report

Rockets injury report

Los Angeles Clippers

Kawhi Leonard: Leonard had a streak of six straight games with 20 or more points snapped in the Clippers’ loss to Milwaukee on Monday night. The star wing gave this Houston team trouble earlier this season, scoring 26 points on 8-of-16 shooting in a six-point Clippers win. He should be the focal point of the Clippers’ game plan on Wednesday.

Houston Rockets

Jalen Green: This has been a disappointing season for former No. 2 pick Jalen Green, but he’s played well over his last two games, scoring 34 points in each of them. Green’s shooting splits aren’t great (40.7 percent from the field, 31.8 percent from 3 this season), but he does have the ability to have a big game every now and then.

This is a tough turnaround for the Rockets, who are clearly playing the tougher end of a back-to-back on Wednesday night. The team did take care of business at home against the San Antonio Spurs behind a massive game from Alperen Sengun on Tuesday.

The Clippers have not looked great as of late, struggling to score the ball since Russell Westbrook went down, but they may thrive in a defensive slugfest against this Houston team.

The Rockets are one of the top defenses in the NBA at home this season, but Los Angeles has also been solid, ranking 12th in the NBA in defensive rating.

Not only that, but the Clippers are 12-9 against the spread when favored on the road, one of the better marks in the NBA.

This is a prime bounce-back spot for Kawhi Leonard and company.

Pick: Clippers -6.5 (-110)
