College basketball: 2023 March Madness futures picks and predictions

The college basketball season is a little more than a month old. North Carolina came into the season ranked No. 1, but the team is now 8-4. Creighton is 6-6 after 12 games.

Gonzaga is starting WCC play and is a good bet for the rest of the season. The Bulldogs lost to Texas and Purdue early in the year, but they also have quality wins over Michigan State, Kentucky, Xavier, Kent State and Alabama. They rank No. 2 in offensive efficiency and could make another Final Four run if they avoid athletic, ball-pressuring teams like Texas.

North Carolina is 25/1 to win the NCAA Tournament. The team has started slowly this season, but it is still one of the most talented teams in the country. Last season UNC made a run to the championship game as a No. 9 seed.

Arkansas started 10-1 and has one of the most talented rosters in the country. The team is led by freshman sensation Nic Smith and senior Jalen Graham. Arkansas reached the Elite Eight in last two seasons. The Razorbacks don't shoot well from 3-point range, but they are a legitimate title contender.
