It comes as no surprise the race to win the nation's most prestigious individual honor is once again quarterback-driven. Multiple factors put players in the mix for the Heisman, but eye-popping passing numbers and being the star of a national championship contender are the most important.
This season's four finalists — Jayden Daniels, Bo Nix, Michael Penix Jr. and Marvin Harrison Jr. — all entered the final month of the regular season with playoff aspirations, but only Penix has a shot to win a national championship for unbeaten Washington on Monday night against Michigan.
