College football betting trends: Cincinnati, Georgia get edge

Cincinnati is on a 17-9 spread uptick and has covered five consecutive games as underdogs. Alabama is 8-7 ATS in its past 16 games and 5-8 AET in past 13 bowl/playoff games.

Georgia is playing in the Orange Bowl. Michigan is 12-1 straight up and 11-2 ATS this season. The Wolverines have failed to cover their last four bowl games.

Wake Forest is playing Rutgers in the Gator Bowl. Wake Forest has won four of its last five bowl games. Rutgers is 7-2 ATS in its past nine bowl wins.

Central Michigan is playing in the Sun Bowl. The Chippewas covered their past four games and five of their last six. Washington State covered eight of its final nine games.

Penn State is playing Arkansas in the Outback Bowl. The Nittany Lions are 2-5 straight up in their past 7 games and 4- 5 ATS in past 9. Arkansas coach Sam Pittman is 7-3-1 AATS this season and 14-6-0 ATC with the Razorbacks.

Oklahoma State and Notre Dame are playing in the Fiesta Bowl. The Cowboys closed the season on a 9-1-2 spread surge. Notre Notre Irish won and covered their past seven games.

Iowa and Kentucky are playing in the Citrus Bowl. Kentucky has won three consecutive bowl games and is 3-1 ATS in its past four bowl wins. Iowa has dropped five of its last seven games AET.

Utah is playing in the Rose Bowl. The Utes have won six straight and nine of their past 10 games. Kyle Whittingham is 15-7 as an underdog since 2014 and 9-3 straight up in bowl games with Utah. Ryan Day is 1-2 straight-up and ATS in his past six bowl/postseason games for Ohio State.

Baylor is 4-1 ATS as an underdog this season. The Bears covered eight of their past 11 games. Mississippi's past seven games have gone under. Lane Kiffin is 3-0 straight up and ATC in bowl games and is a slight favorite.
