College Football Odds, predictions and picks for this Thursday night and the rest of Week 3

The college football season is heading into Week 3 with a number of teams on a roll after strong starts to the 2023 campaign, however there are a number of matchups this week which could impact the overall rankings moving forward.

The No.18 Colorado Buffaloes have been one of the standout surprise packages in the opening two weeks of the campaign, and they are due to take on Colorado State in Week 3.

Most predictions and betting odds have the Buffaloes blowing away their opponents and moving to 3-0 on the season. Much of their early momentum came from a 45-42 upset victory over TCU in the opening week of the season, before dominating against Nebraska in a 36-14 victory.

The college football odds are generated by a system called SportsLine, which uses its own unique projection model to simulate every single FBS college football game 10,000 times.

Since the tool came into existence, it has reportedly generated almost 2,500 dollars of profit for players against the spread.

According to CBS Sports, one of the safest picks for Week 3 is that Tennessee wins by double digits against the Florida Gators, who continue to struggle early on in the year.

Purdue are also predicted to beat Syracuse on Saturday, with the team heading into Week 3 fresh from a 24-17 win over Virginia Tech.

Penn State are also heavily favored to take the win away at Illinois, whilst the pre-season favorite Florida State Seminoles are due to take on Boston College.

Florida State have started the season very well, showing serious national championship aspirations, and are expected to move to 3-0 on the season with a victory in Week 3.
