College Football 2023 Week 4 Odds, TV Matchups & Top 25 Betting Report

There are no changes in the top 10 of the college football AP Top 25 poll this week. Well, except that Alabama has fallen out of the top 10 for the first time since 2015. No. 3 Texas flipped spots with No. 4 Florida State, and Oregon is up to No. 10. Week 4 is the biggest weekend of action yet this season with six Top 25 matchups.

That includes No. 10 Oregon tackling No. 19 Colorado in Eugene with the visiting Buffaloes continuing to be the most bet team and game each week. Oregon is a -21 point favorite this week over Colorado with the highest over/under game total of the week at 70.5 points. Yet the money and betting handle continues to be a stampede on the Buffaloes.

Both Oregon and Colorado enter the Pac-12 opener at 3-0, and the Ducks are averaging a staggering 58 points per game, which drops to 46.5 points per game vs their two FBS opponents. Colorado is averaging 41.3 points per game with Coach Prime Deion Sanders’ son Shedeur Sanders No. 2 in the country in gross passing yards with 1,251. That’s just behind fellow Pac-12 QB Michael Penix, Jr. of Washington with 1,332.

There are eight teams in the Pac-12 off to a 3-0 start, and all eight teams are ranked in the Top 25 of the Associated Press poll.

A huge line move on Tennessee from -14 to now -21.5 at home vs. Texas San Antonio (UTSA). No. 1 Georgia has taken more money as a monster favorite and line move from -37 to -42.5 vs UAB. And No. 5 USC is up to a -34.5 point favorite at Arizona State after opening -30. The Trojans lead the country in scoring averaging 59 points per game after scoring 56, 66 and 56 points in their opening three games led by Heisman Trophy favorite, QB Caleb Wlliams.

In the most anticipated matchup and most bet game into Saturday night, the College GameDay crew will be in South Bend where No. 3 Ohio State is a 3-point favorite at Notre Dame. The Irish fits some positive profiles and ATS situations ahead of this national TV showdown on NBC. According to the Playbook sports newsletter, teams that have scored 40 or more points in each of their last three games are 28-11 against the spread (ATS) as a home underdog since 1980. That fits Notre Dame, who is 4-0 and has scored at least 40 points in all four games with each win by at least 21 points. In addition, the Irish fit a 23-5 ATS subset as a winning home team over the past four seasons.

The stats show both the Buckeyes and Fighting Irish defense rank top 10 allowing 218 and 260 yards per game with Ohio State also leading the country allowing just 3.4 yards per play. The Buckeyes have also been at least a 30-point favorite in each of their first three games. Notre Dame QB Sam Hartman has passed for more than 1,000 yards this season and is a top Heisman Trophy contender with a strong performance and win over Ohio State.

The betting will be biggest on the Ohio State-Notre Dame game along with ‘Prime’ betting and viewership on the Colorado-Oregon contest. The stampede following the Buffaloes continues.
